Got my Wheels back from the poder coater!!
Got my Wheels back from the poder coater!!
I am pretty happy with them. The reason I got them done besides wanting black wheels was that they pitted pretty bad from the winter and the Ohio salt.
I couldn't keep running them the way they were, So for roughly 160.00 I got them sandblasted and powder coated. I think they turned out pretty well.
Ill have pictures of them on the truck soon............

They were pitted and rusted pretty bad. To actually get the really good powder coat look they needed to be dipped. Which would have cost me as much asa new set of wheels.
I paid 20.00 a wheel to get them sandblasted. Which they could only get 2 coats of the chrome off. There are 3 coats of chrome, 3 coats of nickel, and 3 coats of copper. I figured get off as much as you can and as long as there is a surface they should be good.
It cost me 20.00 a wheel to get them powder coated. If you are looking at them you cant see any of the pitting, or anything else. If you got down to clean them, you can see it.
Its really not that bad either. They came out better than what I expected. If I could have got them dipped for what I paid to get them coated and stuff I would have done it, but for 160.00+ I cant really complain.
I am getting them put on tonight. I have my Nitto Mud Grapplers (33s) to put back on too. I think they will look pretty sick!! Ill have pics tomorrow.

Looks good man, I think the gloss will help keep those imperfections from showing through all that much! Can't wait to see pics.
