Rear window Ford Will Not Help

I bought my 2004 F-150 to the dealer I purchased the truck from (mcCarville)in 2005 when the Truck was under warranty. I was told that the TSB for the squeaking was done to spec. It did get a whole lot better but never totally went away. In the summer it would completely go away. However, now it started again and it has gotten a whole lot worse.

MCCarville went out of bussiness so I brought the truck in to a different dealer (Ramp), which I have bought two other Fords from.Ramp told me that the original dealer never did the TSB right. Thats why it has gotten worse over time. They told me that the warranty period is up and they cannot fix it without Ford authorizing it. They gave me a number to call at Ford. A customer service agent named Guy made it clear that Ford will not support me and that I should go back to the dealer that screweed up the TSB. That it was a workmanship issue with the dealer and since they are out of bussiness I am out of luck. I can understand the guys at Ramp since they need to get paid for the job. However, I cannot believe Ford would cut-off a customer that has bought multiple new fords for a lousy TSB. Especially since it was a defect in the truck and one of there dealers that messed it up.

Anyway does anybody know if there is a way to reduce the noise that is less expensive then the dealer fix? They told me i would have to pay several hundred bucks to fix it.

Maybe their take is... "Don't like it, buy a GM and see how far that gets you". I've noitced that loyalty is worth ***** right now - not just in purchases, but also employment.

Good luck, pls post w/ a status as my slider is driving me nuts. I suppose that's what loud radios are for?

Try getting a hold of the regional service manager (if there is such a thing)...or regional Ford rep. Also, you should write some letters. What have you got to lose?

I wrote to the public affairs area. They just write back to send them all the information over again plus a bunch of other stuff. I am still waiting to hear back. Considering how rude the customer service superviser was I am not hopeful.

Do a search for rear window TSB. I saw it posted before and there are threads on how to do it.

From what I remember, all that they do is lift up some plastic/rubber molding and put grease underneath it. I think it's the moulding that runs along the back of the rear window, on the bottom. The squeek is from rubber rubbing along the paint of the truck...................
