12v Powerpoint in Toolbox?

I tried searching for this and came up empty, I was wondering if anyone has added a 12v powerpoint to their aluminum tool boxes?

I would like to add 1 or 2 to my bed tool box, but I'm wondering how to wire it, where's the best place to run wires, drill holes if even necessary, etc....

If it's been done before, would like to hear about any problems or ideas to make it weatherproof and as simple as possible, I'm no electrician, so any input would help.

just wire it off the battery, make sure to fuse it, and use a decent gauge of wire though. drill a hole in your box and silicone it up. you wouldn't need to waterproof the wire obviously, but i would shrink tube all the connections.

another ATOM? they do make weatherproof 12v outlets. They sell them at autozone/pep-boys/advance for like 3 bucks. Like above, just wire it directly from the battery, should be a pretty easy task
