Leveling the rear

I'm wanting to level out the rear of my '07 Crew Cab FX2. Is the drop shackle the best way to achieve this? Recommendations?

First thing is to remove the lift blocks. Some FX2's had a 1" rear lift block from the factory, if you have them, pull them out. If you still want more, then throw on a set of drop shackles.

Didn't even think to look and see if it had those. Thanks.

Yes, the shackles work great. I like the Ground Force 2" kit. Has two holes, so you can lower it 1" or 2" and come with wedges to keep pinion in alignment. As pointed out, remove any blocks first.

i believe ground force is 1.5" or 2" Jim

Take out your blocks and do shackles. the 04-08 needs closer to 3" to fully level them.

Thanks guys for all the help. I've been a Ranger guy for about 13 years so I'm just learning the ins and outs of the F150.

I'm sure you are correct. I just remember there were shorter holes. Since I was going for 2", I didn't pay them much attention.

the holes are 1" apart but because you are only moving one end of the leaf springs, you only get half the distance in ride height change

so a 2" drop shackle should be 4" longer from the factory holes

I installed the ground force kit on my truck then noticed the block in it. I left the kit in and the block in for now but it might come out when I get the bed liner done if it still sits high in the rear. My brothers truck doesn't have the lift block and his sits good but when we get the bed cover and the bed liner done he might have to raise it a little bit to sit level.

Question

I have the ground force too, but here is something I learned after the fact:
Ground force makes two kits, one with Poly bushings, like I have, or the ford o/e bushings. Ya know the ford o/e bushings will never sqeek but the polys might down the road unless you keep them greased. FYI
