I have to also agree. If you want to keep the stock set up, shop the job with several shops and make sure they are doing the same thing. If you want to do away with the clutch set up, the go the other route.... some of the shops may be able to price it for you too.
My buddy had LS problems with every 150 he bought, last I knew, that was all three trucks he bought, and one had problems twice.... thankfully all on warranty. Though he attributed it mostly to blowing donuts; but still!

Unfortunately I only have one shop in the area.

I'll give the friction modifier a couple more days to see if it eliminates the issue.
