Low oil pressure warning...

That's the notification I got on my dash's info center on the weekend.

I'd just turned into my street and the engine idled rough for about 2-3 seconds before it died. It started right back up with the orange check engine light illuminated [hasn't gone out]. I drove another 300 yards into my driveway and parked it. Checked the oil level and it was spot on.

Haven't driven it since.

Any ideas what it could be?

or could be the oil pump. My buddy's did the same thing as you describe. He drove it about 1/2 mile and the motor finally quit. $3,000 later a new motor was installed.
