Here is me testing it.

As far as fitment with Ford's SD bracket, it might work, but I will find out today.

So more pictures to come.

Well, I got them in... after doing a slight but non-lethal modification.

You need to remove the alignment screw with spring. Plus you need to remove the pivot pins. They just pop out with a small screw driver.

This is that the pivot pin looks like pulled out. You can just cut it off or whatever... but I decided to keep them like new just in case if I ever get myself a Super Duty, as I could use them as a spare.

Here it is removed. It should just slide right on out.

After doing some monkeying around, I carefully got them wedged between the frame and bumper. You need to go in at a 60 degree angle on the side then pop them in using your fist. They will be literally stuck in there. I then used a zip tie as a safety holder. But they will never move because it is almost like they were designed to fit in there. Hopefully I will never need to change the bulb for a while, because it'd be a PITA to get out.

Next will be wiring them up... but that is like wicked easy because all my wiring is there from my previous set. Just pretty much solder and play...

Well, I finished them up. I even found that there is a way to adjust them up and down too and I got them perfectly level.

So here's some pix:

Just the fogs on... after soldering and heat shrinking the wiring...

Fogs and parking lamps.

Fogs and highbeams... I guess they call this "Bambi" because both the highbeams and the fogs are shining at the same time? But I've always been used to the fogs staying on... so it's no new deal with me!

So there you have it... it's really that easy!

Thanks everyone!

I was considering that. I need to get some Westin chrome step bars too and new tires by this fall.

Where and how much did you get those fogs for? They're the Ford one's, correct? I'm too lazy, so post some links plz.

Yes, they are Genuine Ford Parts. They are actually made by Sylvania for FoMoCo.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=

I highly recommend that seller.

Just an option :

Online Ford parts dealer, they are 35.23 each + S/H for new Ford parts.

70.46 + S/H for new Ford parts.

The Model year range at that eBay auction is wrong.

The Ranges for the different types, per trademotion site :
99-00 - rectangle like the 04-05 F150 lights, mounted though bumper
01-04
05-07
08

Just a question/suggestion: Couldn't you have used a 9005 connector instead of a 9006 connector, since people interchange the 9005 and 9145s all the times and the go in no problems (at least in the connector part.) That way you wouldn't have to mod the 9006 one?

Either way, that's a pretty cool mod

Got any pictures on the actual install behind the bumper, and how you adjust them ?

Missing an important part to the how to without that,
