I have seen some "homemade" bumpers that have looked pretty darn good and they are definitely stronger than the mass-produced stuff. I wish I knew how to weld. I am thinking about taking a welding class at a local vo-tech school.

and yeah freekyFX , i myself wish to have the tools and know how to weld (my buddies do) so later i can make me my own brackets and other things which would be helpfull without the need of going to the weld-shop which ask for stupid prices...
as for expedition4x4 , my car is at the workshop , as soon as i get it , i will look up for it and post the result

can you guys guess the hight of thos tires? (no i won't get thos)

Sorry to hear of the accident with your truck, atleast you now have a good excuse to get the bumpers that you want...

As for the tire size on that Chevy I am guessing either a 305/70/16 or 315/75/16. One thing that I am trying to figure out is how those tires aren't rubbing like hell. A buddy of mine has 305/70/16's on his 01 Chev, which is an exact twin of the truck pictured a black stepside reg cab Z71. He is has different keys in the torsion bars and has them cranked and also a 3" block in the rear end, and his tires still rub at full lock.

I remember my first accident in the truck, you certainly seem to be handling it a lot better than I did.

Sorry to hear about the damage though and hopefully everything is returned back to normal soon for you.

yep , can't wait to get the bumpers!!!

as for the tire size , hmmmm am myself not sure about numbers , but i remember seeing something like 275/90/16...

so now by June my truck will ready , Dealership did fix it for free , but still there signs of damage on the bumper , but anyway it will trashed
