Installing Leather Seats

Well guys, I'm going to install leather seat covers on my 08 scab. I found them on ebay, so I called the guy and got them for $450.00. Not a bad deal for Katzkin covers. So guy got them for his truck, then got in a wreck, so i benifited from his misfortune. He had already paid a deposit, so all I had to do is finish payment. So ya'll widh me luck this weekend. And any of ya'll that have done this, if you have any advice, I'll take it.

Thanks man. I did read your thread, and I've watch the video a few time. I just want to make sure I get it done right. How long did it take you to do your seats?

I was stopping to take pics while I did the install, so it took me two days. If I worked straight thru, w/o pics I could do it in a day. Here is more pics of the install

When I did mine, I found the headrests to be a bear. So I used a large zip lock bag, covered the foam and was able to get the covers on. The bag allowed the covers to slip right on with minimal nudging. When done, reach up in there and pull out the bag (in pieces) until you get it all out.
Good luck!

Hmmm, that's a good idea. I suppose you could also cover the seat top and/or bottom with a plastic garbage bag if you were experiencing problems installing the leather cover on them as well.

Mine had a slick type of plastic wrap on them when I swapped mine out earlier this year.
