so i got board at work and built a short Side step today just to see how it would turn out. Figured i would use it as a hitch step and build full length ones for the sides if it looked ok.

Please exuse the rattle can paint job. I just wanted a quick idea of how they'd look

What do you think?? If i had them powder coated or lineXed do you think they would be alright???

would anyone Pay for something like this??? or does anyone have a better design idea???

Cool. I think it will make a better hitch step than a side step. Are you going to weld a 2" receiver tube onto the back or how are you going to use it on the hitch?

 

Are you automatically assuming he turned it into a hitch because of your suggestion???

 

yes...especially if it was mounted on a 2" reciever and sat about 1-2" from flush with the rear bumper

If you read his post a little closer you'd see that he said "Figured i would use it as a hitch step", and read my post a little closer you would see I asked how he was going to mount it on the hitch. Oh BTW I don't assume because assuming makes an *** out of U and ME. Sorry to rant but please pay closer attention before trying to slam somebody's post.

 

BTW, OP, I would consider buying one if I saw a finished product.

I dont see why not, especially with your wheels.

 

How much does it weigh? It may be too heavy for a side step.
