Suspension Lift

Hey I need help finding a good 6" suspension lift for my 2005 Ford F150 Lariat... I've been looking at the Pro Comp but I want to find a good price. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Personally, I would go Fabtech, but that's just my personal opinion. Check ebay, I've seen some 6" Fabtech kits for around 1100.

Are you 2wheel drive? Then yah around $1100 for fabtech. If 4wheel drive then priceis around $1600 - $1800.

Not saying you can't find the 4wheel drive kit for $1100, i bought mine new in box from some guy for under that.

Look on craigslist or ebay.

Fabtech seems to be a favorite around here, the quality seems to be a bit better then Procomp.

I am a 4wd. Can you get a suspension lift kit that you dont have to do minor cutting and drilling? If I do put a suspension lift kit on my truck, will I be able to go back to stock if I decide to chnge later on?

I think the 4" rancho does not require any cutting, or maybe even the superlift 4.5" lift.

Not real sure though i will let the rancho and superlift guys answer that one.

On the 6" lifts i believe to go back to stock you would have to have some welding done.

My thing on the Rancho is, it's 4" lift and it's MORE expensive than the 6" kits.

Fabtech recently filed for Bankruptcy so I would spend my money with a company that will be around to back it if anything breaks down the road.

Do suspension lifts have a better ride than body lifts?

Just heard this too... the shop that is installing my lift said they filed for chapter 11, and will not be shipping anything for atleast 5 weeks.

Thank god nothing was missing from my kit.

I think they will be around in the future. They are just restructuring... economy is hard on everyone right now. No one really needs a lift, or new wheels, or other mods when times are tuff.

In reality the BL should ride EXACTLY like factory suspension as nothing suspension wise changed. Only real difference is a higher center of gravity and more body roll in turning. Suspension lifts generally make the truck feel completely different and "better" is purely an objectional thought. I myself love the way my truck rides now as apposed to stock.

Body lifts will retain factory suspension. But unless you do the body lift yourself... it will cost about the same as suspension lift.
