leveling question....

What is recommended more, a 2" AS leveling kit or a 2.5". Is there really a difference? Any suggestions on where to find them for a good price? Thanks.

2" spacers made mine set level. Auto Spring seem to be what every one uses. Here the E Bay link.
AUTO SPRING AS 2004-08 FORD F-150 2" Front Lift Kit

If you want your truck to sit dead level go with the 2.5" leveling kit. The 2.5" kit with cause the front to be slightly higher on the 06-08 trucks because they have less rake from the factory. If you want a little rake, go with the 2" kit.

go with the 2".

a 2.5" makes the nose just a hair too high. and the 07+ guys are even worse. sometimes a 2" is even too much on them.

but yeah, the Autosprings is the best IMO of all the brands out there. I have the 2.5" up front, and the 3" rear blocks sitting in my garage waiting to be installed

$90? You must have purchased yours some time ago, yes?

I paid $65 SHIPPED for my 2" AS.

The 2" spacer actually made my front sit 1/2" higher than the rear. I corrected this with a new set of Firestone Ride Rite airbags.

I was going to have to get them anyway since I race during the season and the AS WILL MAKE THE REAR END SAG when towing. This is why the F150 has a rake from the factory, to prevent rear end sag when towing.

After the leveling kit, do you have to get the truck realigned?

I have the 2.5" on mine, and it actually still sits with a SLIGHT rake.

it all depends on what wheel/tire setup you plan on using. if rubbing isnt going to be an issue due to tire size, i would go with the 2" kit.
i have the 2.5" kit and i need to add a 3" block in the rear because it looks like the rear is too low.. it actually sits perfectly level but still looks like the front is a little bit higher..

The '04's had a lot of factory rake and a 2 1/2" kit seem's to work OK.

I have Bilstein leveling struts ( 2" ) but my '04 is leveled near perfect. The rear end sits exactly 1/4" higher, hardly noticeable, and looks great. Most swear by the 2.5" kits for '04 - '05s with the larger rear leafs, but 2" does the job just as well imo.
