supercab door mod (i was 170+degrees)

title should say "i want 170 + degrees".....sorry

so i hope i got you excited, but why doesnt Ford do this.
My truck is in desperate need of paint due to Bushwacker fender flares and lost of trees scraping the side

SO back to my point, a green light to possibly cut and weld myself some cool factor like chev and nissan has...

vs F150

has anyone solved this problem yet?
any ideas?

I'm sure with enough fabrication skills, you could get the hinges used on the Chevy and put them on your F150. Try a junkyard.

The Silverado at work (2008 model) opens like the one in the picture, and it really isn't a complicated setup. There are basically two hinges, the first opens the door to the 90* position and the other takes over from there and opens it the rest of the way.

Probably going to end up costing more than it's worth.

It's a nice idea but my concern is durability. Sometimes my Supercab is awkward in tight quarters but I know the Ford hinge will last the next 30 years. Not so sure about the Nissan and Chevy hinge.

Perhaps someone should manufacture fold-out hinge adapters that connect to the factory ford hinges.

You're definitely onto something.

If you want doors like that, buy that truck. If you want a dual swing tailgate, buy a ridgeline. If you want a "Rambox", buy a Dodge. But if you wanna put it in drive and move forward, buy a FORD.

idk about chevy's but the first time i opened up the doors in the back i thought something broke, the doors dont open up very smooth at all... and kind of jump around.

i do like the feature tho... its very cool.. im surprised FORD didnt INVENT it... let alone start doing it.. instead, they invented the Man Step.

The biggest problem with this is, well, the truck that comes with the doors.
