Looks good but I'd use jack stands, or anything stable to protect yourself. Hitch would have worked.

I just used the center part of the receiver hitch with one jack.

Just jack up a bit and check the bolt for looseness, and repeat if necessary. You should be able to tell when the tension is off the leafs this way.

If you lift it to just before the wheels come off the ground then you wont have negative pressure on the shackle by the leafs and axle hanging down.

if you have the holes lined up give the bolt a smack or two with the hammer, if that doesnt work, put a ratchet on the bolt head and try driving it in (even though its not really threaded in the bushing)

when you look at it from the bottom the bolt points to the front of the truck

is it bent? I probably would replace it anyways, dont want something that crucial being abused like it was.

you got lucky that it didnt fall out all the way. Might also need to consider replacing the bushing and shackle too

just lower the truck enough to where the tires are just barely just barely kissing the ground and you should be fine to yank the bolt out. You can use a prybar and some wood to give you some thing to pry against.

and obviously dont set the truck down until you get a new one put in it
