My uncle got the same email from them. I assume it's a special they ran for past buyers - https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...-discount.html

And my salesguy at Sam Pack said they would honor it if they can confirm.

I don't think those numbers are too bad. The current price of gas isn't as high as it used to be so that'll help. Who knows though .. It's all just about if someone wants it or not in the end.

Just got something similar in the mail.

Honestly made my brain start to turn, but I'll resist and wait until at least 2010.

Don't mean to be rude, but what the hell are people thinking.
1. Everyone knows that mods increase the value of your vehicle little if at all.
2. Do some people never open a newspaper or other media? We are in the worst economy of our lifetime and people are trying to get more than the value of their vehicle? What are you smoking? Take that KBB book and burn it in your fireplace...you will save some money on your heating bill.
3. In Feburary I purchased a 2006 F150 Screw Lariat 5.4L for $15k. It was a lease return so it was in perfect shape and hade 47k miles on it.

If KBB says $20k, I would pray to the man upstairs you get $18k.

Sorry to be a Debby Downer

My opinion from the other side of the spectrum...

In the near future, probably this summer or fall, I plan on purchasing an 2006+ Screw FX4 or Lariat 4x4. In my area trucks at dealers that meet this criteria are around 22k list price. Some have extended warranty, heated leather, reverse sensing etc. All are around 50k miles or less.

With this said I will not be buying anything over 20k. I'm hoping to find something for $15k. I know I can get a Scab FX4 for this, but I want a Screw.

As a buyer, a lift, wheels and tires already on the truck is not something I'm willing to pay more for...

i would never buy a lease vehicle, i know how i drive loaners, everyone beats on lease cars they know they ain't keeping. 2nd mods to a vehicle can make a sale, to the right person.

good luck finding a 3 yr old top of the line truck for 15 grand if you wanted to lift your truck it would be cheaper to buy it all done. just another person who wants something for nothing.

planet ford in houston has a f150 supercrew sitting out front with a 11,000 off on the side of it. i think another dealer out towards katy or cypress has $12000 off

I don't think you people realize that WXSCPO and I are in Hawaii

Vehicles carry a huge premium out here. There is Invoice and List pricing...and then there is the Island price

Island price is usually at least $2,000 more than the vehicle is worth...but usually $4,000 more.

Point in fact. I tried buying a used 2007 Expedition XLT (bare bones, no options) last year. 2x,000 miles. They wanted $38,000 for it. On the Mainland, you can buy that for $34,000 brand new...before rebates

in addition, the culture out here in Hawaii loves their lifted trucks...you cannot drive anywhere without seeing a lifted truck on 35" or bigger tires for the 1/2 tons...and 33" tires on the wittle trucks

I think his chances are decent for getting $22,000 for the truck. and with the right buyer, I can see $24,000

How old are you? The depression we had in the 80's was worse.

To the op, i think what your asking may be a little steep but being that you have time there is a good chance you will eventually get what you want. Like people have said you just have to find the right buyer

Well thats great if you can sell in Hawaii and get that kind of money. There must be alot of difference here in the continetial U.S.
Dealers in Central MN would not touch that truck for anything near $20,000.
I have tow friends with Fords and both are 2006's and crew cabs. One is 2wd drive and the other is 4wd, both are loaded with leather and the works. Both have been looking to trade for new Fords. Both are lifted 6 inchs with aftermarket 20 inch and 22 inch wheels, exhaust, bull bars and lights. Both have under 30,000 miles. The best quotes they have got are $14,000 for the 4wd and $11,500 for 2wd. So far every dealer has told them they are worth less money with the lifts in them. Four dealers refused to trade because of the lifts. With that in mind I would guess it would be hard to get $10,000 in Minnesota.

I was going to mention this myself.

No hits on buying yet although I did have a guy offer to trade a fully loaded 2007 Chrysler 300 for it since I mentioned in my listing that I was looking at purchasing the wife something. I am not firm on the $25k, that was just a starting point because I know people will try to talk me down. I do have a lowest price I will let it go for though.

I feel ya man.

I just bought a hold-over 2008 Expedition Limited EL tonight. The sticker was $49,000...luckily I did my homework first. Invoice was $37,500 for it.

That sticker was amazing. I'm still kinda in shock at the nerve of these people.

$44,500 MSRP (pure b.s.)
$4,500 Island Destination Charge

I got the Expy for $41,000 out the door for everything...and I consider that a good deal. I know I could have done slightly better on the Mainland, but the flying and shipping would have been a major hassle.

btw, I blame you Welfare Wagon (if you're reading this). But at least I got rid of my POS Dodge.
