34ft toy hauler loaded with ATV's. Probably 8000 lbs +. Towed with my 05 Screw 5.4 4x4. Air bags keep it level. Got 10 mpg going the 400 miles to Little Sahara. Held 70 mph except in the Arbuckle mountains. No abnormal wear detected when I serviced the tranny.

For me it would have been 3.9 tons of rock plus my 1,800 pound trailer. So right at my max tow cap. for my truck.

Looks like this

With the F150? I'd say our 2k pound motorcycle trailer is the most regularly towed, followed by the 6k pound travel trailer once in a while.

With the '04 Superduty F350 SRW? 38' horse trailer with living quarters that weighs 12k empty, add 1,500 pounds for each horse (up to 3 horses).

With the Peterbilt? Somewhere around 70k pounds.

I have pulled a modified cotton bail trailer with 24 round hay bails on it a couple times, only about five miles though. About 15,000 if you figure each bail weighs around 600 pounds each. I didnt like it but the truck is used regularly on the farm and you got to do what you got to do.

P.S. my 150 pulls it just as good as my dads chevy 2500hd

I pulled a friend's truck and trailer with a tow strap about two miles back to his house the other day. He owns a '99 Dodge 1500 (about 5400 pounds) with a trailer that he guessed weighed about 4500 pounds (9900 together). At the time, we did not know what the problem was, but later found that the tranny burned up. He had about 155K on the clock, so it was time. We couldn't unhook the trailer were is was, so we just went on. I did get some really weird looks from the local spectators. The day after that, I ended up putting two injectors in my truck...I blame him for that. Truck actually did great and felt confident.

The most that I have towed with my 04 is 13840lbs, our S250 Bobcat (with counterweights, 84' bucket, Grouser steel tracks--8900lbs) 20' tilt bed equipment trailer (3500 lbs) misc Bobcat attachments and other misc things (pallet forks, industrial grapple, spare tires for trailer and Bobcat, chains/binders, wrenches, ect)

I didn't pull it often but it pulled pretty darn good all things considered. But the 05 F350, DRW FX4 pulls it like a dream, you hardly know its back there. Especially since we now have sold the 20's trailer and now use a 25' gooseneck for the S250. My 04 won't be seeing that trailer or a 5th wheel hitch any time soon.

At that size it's a skid steer in name only! That's getting into small front end loader territory.

Also pull approx. 4,500 lbs of boat around alot during the summer along with a trailer of quads, but the heaviest was a 2002 Isuzu Axiom on one of those dang over-weighted U-Haul car hauler trailers - frankly that was the most obscene didnt have to be so heavy trailers I have seen. The 04 Screw FX4 did just fine.

I once put two bobcat scoops of dirt in the bed of the 04 Screw FX4 and she did NOT like that. I dont know how many lbs are in a scoop but needless to say she wasnt happy about it.

Thats our small bucket, it is 84" but only has a 3/4ydcap. Our snow bucket is 96" with 1.5yd cap, we wish that we would have had a 102" built. The 96 is nice but the machine could easily handle 2 yds of snow. I will snap a couple pics when I go out to the shop next, I will probably be out there on sunday. I will post 1 or 2 pics of the S250 up here.

The S250 has a rated lift cap of 2500lbs. But will actually lift much more, especially with the counter weight kit. We use it all the time for unloading pallets of shingles and bunks of OSB and studs off delivery trucks. The pallets of shingles weigh in between 3400lbs and 4000lbs depending on the brand, and a bunk of OSB is around 3600lbs.

Bobcat does actually make 2 bigger models in the S series, S300 and S330. I would really like to use a S330 once to see what that monster can do!!
