Opinions please

Well i was going to do ptm front and rear bumpers on my 08 xlt. But now it is just getting way to pricey.

New paintable bumpers anywhere from $300 - $800

Cheapest paint job $600 for both.

So now i am thinking of just keeping the bumpers chrome, but replacing the front bumper with a new one with fogs.

What do you guys think?

btw: i do not think i can powder coat to match stone green metalic.

just get the foglight bumper, chrome bumpers look sweet on these trucks, theres alot less chance of it being damaged by stones and whatnot too, I am going on my third paintjob on my front bumper

I would have to take bumpers out of town to have blasted down to bare metal.

Then there is the matter of pitting and having them refinshed to a paintable surface.

Then painting and clear coating.

Not to mention this is my daily driver and i would have no bumpers for a time frame of 1-2 weeks.

As for macco i believe there is one within a couple hours away. But i hear nothing but bad things about macco.

Even then i still needto get a new front bumper do to the fact that i want the fogs.

what kinda of body shop don't have a sandblaster of their own? it don't take much prep work to get them ready for paint after blasting, maybe 20 mins with a DA. 1-2 weeks!
