Please help!!! Squeeky something!? About to get a dodge

I have this really annoying squeek and i have no idea what it is. It sounds like it's coming from the drivers side dashboard. I have brought to the dealership twice. The first time they had it for 4 hours and they thought it was fixed (said they tightened up a bunch of stuff under my hood and removed my stinger from the quick hitch). Second time they were a little more thorough. They kept it for 4 days and took the entire dash apart. The service rider claimed that it only did it in the mornings... but in fact it does it when I drove over a serious of bumps. It doesn't have to be big bumps just enough to make the tires shake. So if anyone has any advice or experienced this I sure would appreciate any help. I can not stand squeeks driving down the road and its making me a new truck... preferably a dodge

Getting a Dodge will solve your problem. You'll have so mant rattles you won't be able to tell where they're coming from.

Yeah that's the problem with my ford right now. Don't get me wrong I love the way my truck looks and everything... but this squeek has got me so ticked off that I don't even like driving it anymore.

x2, my buddy buys a new dodge every year and they all sound like they have a bucket of loose nuts and bolts stashed somewhere in the cab.

As for your issue, I had a really bad squeak form the passenger dash area. I noticed that my A pillar on the drivers side was loose. Look at the bottom of the A pillar where it meets the dash, mine was sitting funny, I pushed it back in place while tightening up the two bolts on the pillar and I have not had a squeak from that location since. Also push in your ashtray and hold it when you hear the squeak. If the noise stops do a search for ashtray rattle. Hopefully one of those two helps you out.

check that your sway bar links are tight

a loose link will allow a clunk and squeaky noise

other than that, go through every body panel in the truck and make sure they are all tight

Dodge? Why would you even consider buying something from a company that is close to shutting down shop?

Check everything like Tylus said.

I had the same sqeak in my 08 Ford on the driver's side dash. I was going to do some searching to see if I could find the solution. I bought and edge evo and when I installed the pod, it tightened up the dash and there is no more squeak. Not sure how I would have fixed it otherwise.

Why downgrade to a Dodge... Atleast go Chevy. A Chevy will last atleast as long as Fords will. Dodges make more noises and are more flimsey than the other trucks, use the most gas, and have s**t trannys, but w/e your preference is its your money.

Your not qualified to comment on this! There aren't any original parts left on your Ford.

It's your exhaust system.

My recommendation:

1. Take it to a reputable exhaust shop
2. Have them cut out the y pipe
3. Run 2.5-3" true pipes back to a Magnaflow DI/DO magnaflow stainless muffler.
4. Route the tailpipes out the side (left/right or right/right) or rear left right.
5. Add chrome over stainless tailpipes

That should solve that squeeky noise.
