The key in sand is a light foot and just take it easy and you will be fine.

I once got a f150 xl work truck stuck on a sand job site in Wisconsin. But not just once. Somewhere around 3 or 4 times. Basically had a 4wd GMC Jimmy pull me around all day. Then when i went to the same site later, I backed off into a hole. Just one wheel though. I didn't have to have the Jimmy pull me up that time... Left the company truck at the shop after that- drove the jeep. no problem.

Just a few more more reasons I won't buy a two-wheel-drive truck with my own money again. Most people rarely need front wheel paw, but when you do need it, it's better to have it than not.

Yeah, I regret not trying to come up with some plan of action for 4x4.
