Console mod

Removed the center jump seat and installed an XLT console in my 2006 XLT SCAB. I got the console off of ebay knowing the lid was a little damaged and I had planned on swapping it out for a black console lid anyway. Looked on ford parts online site and seems that there is flint and pebble for the XLT ? I was wondering if the lariat console lid or the FX4 will fit ?

**Edit**
Not a flow through console

I searched threads on removing the center seat and haven't found anything, and since you did a shift swap, I must ask...How do you remove the center jump seat? It looks like it's help in with plastic push pins. I'm trying to remove it on my 07 XLT 4dr 5.4L without damaging it so I can put an inverter under there and run two AC outlets to various parts of the truck.

If it's like the 05, you fit your hand under the front lip between the seat and the carpet and yank up. It pops out of position and then will pop back in.

LOL, that actually seems kind scary in the sense it's THAT easy. It should be the same, I know rear seat lift kits are the same for 04 - 08. Thanks for the help, I'll give it a shot!

The saleman that sold me the truck showed me. He mentioned that it was a great secret storage space. gun, baggy, anything of that sort.

LOL, they didn't show me that. I guess they're slightly deterred from showing anyone looking like a punk rock skateboarder neat stuff like that. Oh, I'm doing a signature test right now. If it looks messed up, I apologize.

You need to greatly reduce the size. The recommended size is close to 500x100.

Yeah. I used to have it set smaller but for some reason it didn't show anymore. I'm gonna shrink this one and give it another shot.

Hope this is better. I removed the seat, took more strength than I thought. Little did I know there's a restraint module under the carpet. I'm gonna end up making a rack for the inverter. Hey, thanks for your help even though it was a sinch, lol.
