Disadvantages of running a less wide tire?

Are there any disadvantages to running a less wide tire? Currently running the stock 265 60 18 BFGs and looking to put on slightly taller tires, something in the 275 65 18 range. Came across a ton of Michelin 255 70 18s that are cheap, cheap! Just curious if there were any benefits or disadvantages to running slightly thinner tires. Thanks.

Better gas mileage but doesn't look as good.

Pros:
-Better fuel mileage
-Better traction, rain and snow
-Better control over bumpy roads
-Better wear

Cons:
-Looks weird
-Horrible cornering ability

Overall, there are more pros than cons.

Personally, I really wish I could put 16's on my F150.

There is no need for 17" rims on a F150 other than for the brake clearance...

theoretically the above may be true, but going from a 265>255 is such a small change i doubt you notice much other than a slight appearance difference.

my truck came stock with 255s on it and i have since switched to 35s
