Broken window regulator??

I got back to my truck after work this afternoon and my window was down. I was thinking what the heck, I know I didnt leave it down. I try to roll it up and nothing. I can hear somthing going on inside though. For about the past week it had been making a noise when I rolled it down. Kind of sounded like it was dragging on something. I was suspecting that it was the regulator but didnt have the time to investigate. Does this sound like its a broken regulator?

To make it worse, I put a check in the mail yesterday to pay it off a year early!

Did you replace it yourself?

Yes, the hardest part is taking off the door panel. It's really not that hard to do if you have a little mechanical skills.

Do an advanced search, I think there is one with a writeup.

At least im through with the hardest part. I just couldnt get the cable off the connected to the inside door handle. So I had to hold the panle while I was investigating.

If you look at the top of the handle bucket where it connects to the door panel there is a little clip that you push down to unlock the bucket from the door panel. Then you fish it through the opening and the panel is free.
