Roush grilles are about 100 and harleys are upwards of 200, harley looks better IMHO

Just because it's more expensive.. doesn't make it look better.. lol

anywho.. I have a Roush Grille painted with Krylon Fusion, Satin Black.. Krylon Fusion seems to be the most popular paint used for these, it's made specifically to bond to plastics and stuff.

I bought mine from roush overstock for $80 shipped. E-mail the seller, tell him your from F150online.com and you'll pay $80 shipped. It's listed at $100.. but that's still a steal of a deal.

Here's the link:

And here's a closeup!

Hey Zeruin, love the look of your grill, any problem with the Krylon chipping ? I painted my Lariat OEM grill with the Krylon Fusion and put three coats of clear on over a period of two days. Looked great, first 400 mile road trip and it's all chipped up and looks like butt. If they make a black Roush I would be very interested.

Hmm.. Well I let my grille dry/cure for about 5 days before I bolted it back up. I didn't use any clear, just the Krylon Fusion. Spraying multiple times within 2 days may be the problem, most paints have re-paint times, within the hour, or after 7 days.. if you spray somwhere in between, or before the coats fully cure, you may cause lifting on the previous coat.

I dunno if that's really the case, but that's just what I've read.

What you are saying makes sense. I actually did two when I did them and the Lariat center dried for a week before I re-installed it but the rocks chipped it. The other I only waited over night and I messed it up just getting it back into the surround, wasn't even close to being set up yet.

I'll sand them down this weekend and try again. Thanks

Hey buddy just to let you know I'm in the same boat looking at grilles. I'm considering the Nitemare grille. It's a billet grille very similar to Roush but it comes painted black so you don't have to worry about shipping. Not sure about installation, though. It's only $160 on eBay (click me). Also, I checked all over work for you but no bar, sorry. I must have chunked it.
