HID's???

I have a 2005 f150. I was wondering if HID lights are worth the money or not? Does anybody have them? Should I just buy new bulbs? What color temperature should i get?

I do have them and they are worth every penny! Dollar for Dollar I personally feel this is the best mod that can be done. I can see a lot better at night and here in bambi country that is huge. I did both fogs and headlights. If you are going to upgrade bulbs you might as well bump the extra little bit and get a whole lot more.

If you are wanting to retain the use of your hi and low beams you will want a bi xenon kit. There are also hi/lo kits which contain a low beam HID bulb and a halogen hi beam bulb. You can also get a low beam only kit but if you have to pass inspections you will need to have hi beams. The headlamps use an H13 kit and your fog lamps use an H10 kit if you are going to get both.

Some guys have got the 4500 k which is about the color of the sun looks more factory. I went with 6000k which will have a ton of white with just a hint of blue. The 8000k will have more blue with a hint of white. Anything over that and you will more then likely have some issues with law enforcement.

Just make sure to aim your headlights properly if you do get them or you will blind the other drivers on the road

HIDs shining on a building headlamps only fogs were not in at the time. The camera did not capture half the light output but as you can see they are very very bright.

Don't think anyone's regretted going HIDs. Maybe only regretted not putting them on sooner.

HIDs are the way to go let me tell you! I finally got them in my 07 about 8 months ago and regret not getting them sooner! I got the 6k they are perfect color for me very bright with a hint of blue.

I bought mine from retrosolutions.com and customer support has been great when i had an issue. I purchased head and fogs from them. Only issue ive had is that my driver side bulb was a little discolored after burn in so i sent it back and they resolved the issue.

Another place i believe alot of forum members purchased from is xenonlink.com?? Someone else will chime in for sure to correct me if im mistaken here

I love my halogens, they don't glare more than usual and are not as dangerous to oncoming drives. Oh yeah, they are legal too.
