mine came with the locking lugnuts (1 per wheel) and somehow one of those got over torqued and i broke the key trying to get it off, ordered a new key and had it overnighted for like 30 bucks and broke it too. after that i took the torch to it and just replaced the stud and got rid of the locking nuts.

You do realize that they have a special socket to take those off (when the key is lost or broken as in this case)?

the ford dealer i went to didnt mention anything about it. they told me that i would have to contact whoever makes those locks and get my specific key sent to me and blah blah so ill never deal with that again lol.

You might want to consider changing your studs anyways. If they were torqued down that much, there is a very good chance that your studs have been stretched out and weakend. They aren't that expensive and it would really suck to loose a wheel.

I 10000000% agree here. Those studs that were torqued THAT much...they are shot and I wouldnt trust them on a Geo Metro, much less a 6000+ lb truck. Play it safe and get some new ones.:beers:
