This forum is awesome

I just installed LT door handles and with the threads and posts from everyone who has done it before the install went very well. I lucked out and was able to call the dealer I bought the truck from and obtain the factory key code and IT WORKED. Here again I need to thank everyone who suggested calling the dealer to see if they had the key code card on file.

Thanks forum members.

I had no trouble with the door panel, but I have to order a Vehicle Security Module for the keypad to work.

The door panels should slide back into position once you have the inside door handle reinstalled and the power lead(s) fed back through. Once I did all of that I just made sure that I had the panel lined up correctly at the top and laying as flat to the door as possible then I pushed it down to seat the hooks. Checked to make sure all of the mounting holes lined up and started putting the screws and bolts back in.

Oh ive done it plenty of times, just now they seem to not wanna slide back down, or some of the clips slide in but not the others.

Something else I just thought about. Make sure the plastic barrier in aligned correctly. I had one that was out of position and it would not let the hooks drop into the door and the panel was not flush at the bottom. Once I fixed that the panel slide right in.

Have you purchased the module yet. If not I saw a thread on how to modify your existing software to make it recognize the keypad. There is some work that needs to be done using the "as built data" that the dealer needs to look up using your VIN. Once they have that data it a matter of editing the current software in your truck.
