Bilstein, Block/AAL & Part # Questions

Hello all, I did search to find my answers and receive some information that was rather conflicting (Hoping you could help me get it straightened out).

First off I have a 2005 FX4 6.5box w/ 5.4 4x4. It has almost 70,000 miles and instead of installing a AS kit I want to replace the shocks with Bilstein, and have them with the 2in lift. My first question what is what is the exact part number for a set of 4? I believe these here are what I need. Correct? I have seen a lot of confusion though with part numbers on topgunz vs Bilstein website, also with the hd types.

Next question is if I AAL will that give me a slight rake (~.5in) because I load my motorcycle and snowmobile in the back and don't want the *** to sag.

Anything else I should know about these?

Thanks guys,
Ryan

You'll be happy with the 2" level of the Bilstein shocks. Tomorrow I get mine installed after I get new ball joints. I replaced the rear shocks over summer. These OEM shocks suck real bad, mine were real shot, glad I opted for the Bilstein kit to correct my level all around.

Do you plan on lifting the back at all for when you are hauling something? How much lift would AAL add (not really looking for lift as much as stiffness)?

weazel you could get shocks and just not have them adjusted the 2inchs if you are looking for shocks.

Thanks,
Ryan

I had my 5100's installed last week at the 2" setting and I noticed the truck handles better while going over potholes. My truck also looks good sitting level now too.

Where did you get them? Is your truck level?

Check on the website list above, and go over to the side and click on the F150 and they have a couple different options.

Nope, the rear is staying as is. I have the Bilstein rear shocks in already, AAL would give an inch I believe.

This guy has the 2" Bilstein struts with stock rear shocks and sits perfect.

Bilstein 7100 series shocks. They are compatable for 4 - 6" lifts. Just longer versions of the 5100s. Also available at Top Gun Customz.

I ordered mine from the Top Gun ebay store for $379 including s&h. I haven't measured the truck as it has been cold and snowing here in Indiana but it looks to be level now. Soon as we get a decent day I am going to get some measurements along with pictures posted.

I got mine from topguncustomz also. My truck sits perfectly level (measured in the wheel wells) with them at 2". The body line shows that it is slightly rakes, but the wheel wells are what you notice the most. I think it is skyjacker that sells 1" and 1.5" add-a-leafs for the newer F150's.
