I have the stick on as well. The dealer salesman helped me program the the stick on and the alarm system to match my key fobs. Then he kept the factory code. All I have is what I programmed in.

What started all this is trying to eliminate the stick on and go to the keypad handle. I found out that the stick on actually is just a frequency signal just like the key fob. You just hit the 5 didgit code rather than one button.

Is it BSM or BCM?

I just spoke with the guy at the dealer that has been helping me. He talked to the tech that does this stuff and the tech advised that I needed the keyless module that is in the BCM, and that there may or may not be some wiring needed to hook it up. He is going to get an estimate of what it will cost me.

Ok, it's been awhile, but I had to find a Saturday when the electrical guy at dealer would be working and I was free. Took the truck in first thing this moring for him to start tracing everything out and for him to determine if I had the Security Module inside the Body Control Module. Everything indicated I did, yet it would not retrieve a factory code. When he got into the box, the Security Module was there. He started diagnosing and found that there was a ground wire missing. They probably did not install it since i did not originally have the Keypad. Once he grounded it, he was able to program it and retrieve the code. Took about 2 1/2 hours and the charged me $125. So now I have a functioning Keypad Handle and I get to remove the stick on pad. It would have been "plug and play" had the ground wire been there.

The service manager originally tried to program it for me free, and it would not. He spent almost an hour on it himself. Then today, the tech spent a couple of hours on it. If I had to order the security Module, that would have been $172 for the part. So, I'm happy to get out for the $125. It's worth it to me to have the factory Keyless handle. The stick on has worked well, but it's 4 years old and the keys are discolored a little and the battery is getting weak.

Does your truck have factory keyless entry and power locks? You need both for it to work. 04-08 stx's did not have either.

He has indicated in other posts that he has factory locks and KE (keyfobs) I believe they actually started offering that stuff on the STX plus a bunch of other stuff in about '06, which they didn't offer originally.

I have an early 2005 XLT that had to be programmed at the dealer, but I am sorry, I do not know my part number for the Body Control Module.
