Scabed over

Whats up guys, Ahh im being panic'ed with the thoughs of wat the future might hold for my lil household here. I have a 06 Scab I love the truck the only problem is its way to small inside for a family. I put my wife and I, a friend of hers, her two daughters in the truck a few months ago for a small trip. OMG I couldnt believe it I was so angry how far i had to adjust the seat up on the wheel, my wife was nearly sitting on the dash lol. One of her friends girls was in a Graco car seat that thing is HUGE too! Now that we have our son I just dont know if I want to keep payin on this Scab knowing we might add another kid within a few years. What would be the best bet trying to trade out for a 06-08 Screw or wait till 2010 for the F150 screw "im hoping that they rid of those taillights by then lol" Nah but seriously I know a few of you guys have went to a screw for the same reasons chime in and let me know if im just over reacting!

i will never go back to a scab ever again. the room is great and i never use the box enough to matter, if not enough room, grab the hauler. i would sell it and get a screw, you won't be sorry. i bought my screw just because i love having all the room in the back, fold up the seats, throw tools in the back, sledding gears, helmets, whatever. 1/2 ton supercrew's are the most practical family vehicle you can buy IMO. plenty of room for 4 adults, can tow whatever (within reason) and get decent mileage.

never fear, the supercrew will solve your space issues.

I have 3 carseats in my backseat right now. Both front seats pushed back all the way and no fitment issues.

I have 3 month old twins and a 5yr old. The youngest are in Graco carseats, and oldest in a booster. At least 6" of space between each seat and the next.

don't do what I did. I had a 03 Mustang GT and ditched it for an SUV because I didn't think the F-150 was big enough...despite being told otherwise by guys here. :o

Well I was wrong big time. My F-150 has more room than my 7 passenger SUV with 3rd row seating

oh yeah, I'd do the swap right now while truck prices are still fairly low. All the extra space is just awesome

If you do wait until 2010, the new generation trucks have the flat floor also, a nice improvement.

I wanted a FX4 scab but I just had my second son so settled for a XLT screw and im very happy with this truck. The back doors and seat area has more room then my wifes Tahoe at the time. We take this truck on long vacation trips and have no problems. I would definitly look at a screw before an suv.

lol yeah i know its coming. I dunno man its hard to get out from under a truck right now. I might end up having to wait untill 2010. The Screw would just come in alot more handy I think than my Scab. I hate having to open my door for the person behind me to open theres. My mom nearly thrashed my doors the other night on the way to dinner tryin to close it without my door being closed! AHH lol welp I guess I could do some emailing with out trade ins being so LOW gonna be tough. Thanks guys on your input at least I am not the only one. Tylus 3 car seats lol nice man, I though about having 3. I figured why not thats kinda like a alternative retirement plan having enough kids to take care of you right . I a newbie on this dad stuff 6 week newbie actually.

I upgraded from an 04 SCab to an 08 Screw too. The Pork Chop's car seat/base and now convertible seat fit very well. You won't regret it.

Go with the Screw. Even if you take a small hit on your truck right now it'll still be better in the long run. If you wait until the 2010's come out they're probably not going to have that great of deals on them and your truck will be worth less then than it currently is now.

With all the deals they have on the remaining 08's, why not do a trade and get into a heavily discounted Screw and work towards paying it off now instead of dealying it for another year. You'll love all the extra room and it's semi-rare when brand new "older model" trucks are being offered so low.

I personally think it'd be worth it right now.

Exactly what I did. $12K off sticker. $32.5K down to $20.5K for an 08 FX2 SCrew.

My Supercab suits me just fine, but a Supercrew would be a much better improvement for you. I wouldn't want a Supercrew for the fact of the 5'5 bed, I know 2006+ some have the 6'5 bed, but thats a really long wheelbase for a 1/2 ton truck. My Silverado 2500HD crew cab 6'5 bed got just the same gas mileage as one of them Supercrew 6'5 beds do.

My SCREW works great for our family of 5. Me, the wife, our 13 year old daughter, 6 year old son and 2 year old son. The three kids in back and the adults up front. It is our family vehicle for trips.

I might do some emailing later this evening on some Screws. Around here they dont have much bis anymore so I might have to do some driving. I know they will just want me to drive there and discus the options. Im like dude just tell me now can you help me or not, rather than drive 100miles and get told im sorry.

A good salesperson will be able to pull all inventory in the area (1 state over each way) and have it delivered without a charge to you.
