x2!

04-06 you will be fine with the 2.5, if by chance it was higher in front then add a block to the rear.

"immense amount" LOL, could you define that please.....

Seriously though...there is a difference in the rake on an 06 vs. an 04? Did not know that.

Maybe you missed the half dozen posts in this and previous threads, but I will put here once again :

I have a 2006 4x4 screw.

I installed the 2" AS level kit.

My front now sits 1/2" higher than the rear.

yeah an immense amount

Immense   /ɪˈmɛns/ [i-mens] –adjective
1. vast; huge; very great: an immense territory.

....3 inches difference in most cases, the 05's and up did not have near that much, my 2.5'' AS lifted my front up about 3 1/4'' and it was dead level.

this is not the best picture, but you can tell the amount of rake it has

maybe you missed the half million posts about Screws having more weight on the rear axle leading to less of a kit being needed to level the truck

You'd be fine either way. Some sit level with 2" and some with 2.5". 2" was enough for me but like others have said the older models tend to need a bit more. To the daily person that sees your truck, though, it will look good either way. Both allow you to go with larger tires. As long as that rake is gone!

Exactly right. I have an 04 screw so the 2" kit is perfect. If you have an 04 non-screw go with the 2.5. If you have a newer truck go with 2", or even the 1.5" if you have a newer screw.

Other options is to go with a 3" rear block and the 2/2.5 kit.

I had a 3-1/4" on one side and a 3-1/16" difference from front to rear, the two sizes are on the two sides.

yeah that is typical...depends on how much fuel is in it, how worn out the springs are, etc

I went with the 1.5" Autospring on my 06 Lariat, and I was still ~ 1/4 inch taller in front, but the optical illusion made it look bulldog. I added a 3" rear block and now I'm 1" higher in the back. Perfect. Fits 33" tires with MINIMAL rubbing at full lock.....I very rarely go full lock. It rubbed the first time the other day when I was pulling out from work and I had to bump the curb to squeeze in traffic....ho hum.

Thanks for all the responses.
I may play it safe with the 2".
My main goal is to fit the 33s without rub, and keep the front from being too high. Sounds like that should work.

I can't wait for the warmer weather. I'm itching to get to this done.

If you have more than 30-40k on your truck I'd go with the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks. They give your truck a better ride than the factory shocks and they also lift the front to 2".

I had mine installed a week ago and I love them. You really notice the better ride when you hit bumps at faster speeds and off road. I purchased mine from top gun customz for $360 front and rear.

Details in Signature...

It still has a slight rake to it but the pictures make it look like it has more than it actually does due to the parking pad not being level.

Since you have a FX4 you don't even need a leveling kit to clear 33s if that's your only concern.
