Got the call about my broken truck

The garage i took my truck to called today after the diagnostic report.

Abs rear sensor has gone i suspected that. And they are telling me Throttle actuator control system is faulty. and suggest changing the throttle body. he says he has seen a few similar. Were there any TSBs for these. I doubt it will have been done if so as its been in the UK since new and ford UK will not take up warranty costs on cars bought outside the UK plus they wouldnt have been able to get parts

Its going to cost me a fair packet to have put right due to gettin the parts from the U.S. About £600 at the moment so about $870 at the moment. Not bad to say i managed to own the truck 3 days before it went **** up.

Next fight is to try an get the dealership i bought it from to pay for the work and parts. Another delay on top of the 10 days optimistic delivery wait on parts

I just want it back i've only driven it twice including bringing it home!!

either make the dealership you bought the truck from fix it. i sure hope they gave you atleast a 3 day warranty. or make them sell you the parts at cost and pay for shipping of parts

get your parts from tasca ford parts online. They have ultra cheap prices on ford OEM parts. I bought USED hubs from a junk yard for more than they sell them for NEW.

And the repairs you're mentioning are stupid simple. Except you will MORE THAN LIKELY need to reflash your PCM to communicate with the updated TPS sensor. I'd imagine that's what went out and not the entire throttle body. What are the symptoms?

What is the reason for the reflash for the TPS sensor? Wouldn't it be able to compensate for the difference?
