Well it was -14(F) degrees at my house this morning, and my original battery decided it was time to take a dirt nap. '04 with 53k. How is everyone elses holding up?

The battery in my '04, built in August '03, started just fine last night at 0 degrees after sitting all day. I must be lucky with batteries (of course, mine will die now that I said that), my last truck was a '93 Ranger 4.0. It had a BXT-65-650 battery from the factory that was still in it when I got rid of the truck in March '04. During the winter prior, we had a week of below zero weather, including three days where it was -15 and that truck started every day.

'04 with 47k and my battery needs to be replaced. It doesn't not want to really start. I tested the battery and the CCA is too low, time to save up for a newer, better one.

Sounds like these batteries last a pretty long time. What is everyone replacing with, stock or something else?

Mine almost didn't make it this morning. 2005 with 44k miles. It barely turned the engine over but it was -18 out.

Mine's a 2005...just passed 39K, it was about -10 degrees... just tried to start it for an errand before lunch... no dice. First time this has happened.

Think it was just the severe cold... after a jump it will be fine?
