Wrench Light-my story,your opinions

In the last month or so the wrench light has come on 4 or 5times while driving and once while sitting idle.I will be driving down the road and the light comes on and truck stays at about 900 RPM no matter how much i press the pedal.I pull over to a safe spot shut the truck off start it again and it can be good for few days or over a week.I have an edge but it even happens when completely disconnected and back to stock.I reset the codes thru the edge and waited for the trouble to happen again and got codes P2104 and P2111.
2104 says right on the edge "throttle actuator control system-forced idle" and P2111 says "throttle actuator control system-stuck open" I brought it to the dealer for service for the first time today also getting the brake hose recall done. After the truck sitting at the dealer the entire day they tell me it has a vacuum leak and needs a new line i believe to the throttle body and it will be $204 +tax.It cost me $110 just to diagnose this today. They said i will have to make another appt. to have this done as it will take a long time.So i get home and i am looking at the bill and it says "has codes P0171 and P0174,needs vacuum line repair" so now i dont know if i should take a chance and have them do the repair. This dealer also broke my alarm remote clip on my keychain and denied it.I really rather not take it to another dealer due to inconvenience. The truck is a 2005 FX4 5.4 and the drivetrain is 100% stock and is out of warranty.Dont know if i should take it to a local shop or just deal with it until temps get above freezing and i can try to look at it.What vacuum line can be $204 with labor and material? anyone else ever have a similar trouble?

I don't know enough to help really, but I find it interesting that the recall is for a vacuum hose. That is what has to be replaced. If there is any indication that it's the fuel injectors, do not run the engine. The 2005 has had injectors stick open and there is a TSB on that. That does not sound like your problem at this time, but just throwing that out there becuase if you try to run the engine with sticking injectors, you can trash it.
