What should it cost to have the front bumper and bumper cover painted?

When I bought truck used from the dealer, the said they touched up the bumper, and now its chipping off. I'm going to get the actual metal bumper and the plastic bumper cover repainted in a month or so.....what should it cost me?

it should cost you nothing. you have a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty that should cover it i would think. i have heard of people getting their upper bumper pad re painted under warranty

save yourself some cash and take it off yourself. it all depends on where you go, i wouldn't pay more than 250 personally.

the paint is only covered for 12 months, or 12,000 miles

unless it's a corrosion thing. rock chips are treated like brake pads and clutches...fix on your dime.

had a paint issue on my 06 that almost cost me money out of pocket because I didn't notice until the 11 month point...luckily they fixed it for free under warranty, but the Service Manager said I was lucky I didn't wait that extra month

I can tell they had an airbrush place do it because they 3 spots where it chipped, its still red under it. The touch place did a bad job, so I'm gonna get it fixed right. I was thinking it would be around $400.

$300 for front & rear bumpers is common/average price.

not to completely hijack but...

wonder how much they would want to repaint the front/rear bumpers in that grey color, and then paint the bottom side of the truck grey?

I'm loving that DSG (think that is what it's called) look...and my front bumper has a million rock chips from the 2006/2007 winter
