AAL installed. Couple questions.
AAL installed. Couple questions.
So I thought I'd post pics, sorry the quality sucks. First one is before, second one is after. And I took off the pin stripes Saturday. Also, I noticed my shock bracket on the axle was contorted. Anyone ever fab up some new ones? Anything I should consider when fixing this. Also, it seems like the shocks are close to bottoming out, how can I test the travel on my rear shocks?

Total lift measuring from center of wheel well... 3-1/2.

The shocks may be bottoming out, which may have caused the mounts to get bent up. Only way I can think of is taking off the shock and measuring then take the measurements and estimate how much travel your suspension has.
When I had an AAL on I believe my shocks would bottom out going over speed bumps.

they are getting stretched out...not compressed...even going over a speed bump, I don't get it????

Yeah, Yeah I know the tires look small. I got 3-1/2" b/c I measured after leveling kit and it had dropped the back some so yeah about 2" of lift over OEM. I am bottoming out due to bent bracket. I can either replace shocks or pour kerosene over the speed bumps. So I stopped by 4 wps today and ordered some pro comp shocks 2" longer then OEM. Should get them either tomarrow or WED. YES I HAVE A MASSIVE TOOLBOX. But it looks SO good on the truck IMO since I have to have it on there for my job (It's not chrome). Ive got a bunch of tools, a fire extinguisher, emergency response equipment, and I still have room in there! it's 27" wide and the company paid for it, not me. Now, I'm lookin for some 35"s. KM2s would be LOVELY. Any opinions on the now missing pin stripes?
