i broke my mirror a week or so ago. unknowingly, i immediately got online and bought a replacement glass piece for like 10 bucks.

recieved the mirror in no time... looks perfect... then realized i don't have the backing plate.

anyone know if there's a part number for just the backing plate for the driver's side mirror? or better yet... is there somewhere online i'd be able to buy it? i've searched ebay and haven't had any luck.

i've also searched this site. forgive me if it (or anything related) is posted on here somewhere that would help me.

oh by the way... it's an 04 mirror.. power only... no heat or turn signals (don't know if that matters)

I'd check a local salvage yard or the dealer. I broke my mirror motor and the dealer had it for only $35

I know my local dealer made my step dad pay for an entire assembly when just the back plate broke off.

 

Yeah they tried that on me too, then I ripped out the factory repair manual and showed him parts ARE available, changed his tune then.
