[QUOTE=Daybreak;3520578]Dont forget to add in the price of a few tickets you will get for having the HID's in a halogyn housing and the glare that blinds people, and all the people flashing you because the hids can not be aimed properly without a projector housing.
Are they bright??......yes. Illegal.....yes. blinding for oncoming traffic....yes. unsafe for everyone but you....yes.

Well said!

Well, put in the Silverstars have not driven it yet. one question tho the PO looks like he broke the tab off the passanger side plug, goes on pretty snug but will not lock think it will stay on ok? not much room in there for it to come off.

If you want HID's, spend the cash and get a set of true projector HID's, not a retro-fit into a housing that they are not made for.
exactly!!! Thankfully we're up higher in our trucks than those in cars so we're mostly immune to the garbage light patterns. I can't stand being blinded by those coming the other way with misaligned lights...even if I'm in the truck. I'd be a hypocrite to just swap in HID's and go!

When I'm in my car at a stop light, the stock F150 lights are blinding enough!!

Thanks for the compliments on the rides.

Hopefully it stays sealed. If you've ever noticed, road spray, slush, snow, whatever, gets thrown directly on the back of the fogs where they lock in.

Or are you talking about the head light?

Head light not fogs. The bulb locks in good just the little tab on the wire harness to back of bulb. Just concerned it my wiggle off and go out?

I wouldn't like that much. I'd look into getting a new connector, or harness, or whatever you need to replace it with.
That maintains a seal, and the life of the bulb.

just snapped a quick comparison picture of the H13 headlight/9005 fog swap against the stock setup. Haven't driven it yet but I imagine it will be quite a bit better. Total cost was right at $76. Yes, I did do both sides!

Where'd you get them? I want that exact set up!

Finally someone said it. I love HID's, when they are done PROPERLY.
Everyone throws HID's in their stock headlamps and the lightscatter is horrible. I have yet to see ONE install into factory assemblies where the light pattern is even "acceptable".

I would never give anyone a ticket for having HID's...sorry.
Plus the Lincoln Navigators come from the factory with HID's in a halogen housing, most officers won't care about HID's in your vehicle, as long as you have made an attempt to point them down as much as possible, your fine in my book.

i have the HID's in mine and I do agree if you have them facing straight forward then they are blinding but angle then down a couple inches and they will work out fine..

I also updated my light housing so it only reflects off the actual circle around the bulb.

I wish you were a cop around here then!! 2 freinds, already this year, have recieved "improper use of lighting" tickets......$175.00 fine, for using HID's in their 150's. And even with then aimed down, its the "scattered" or "lost" light that blinds people, no matter how low you aim them.

Belive me, I LOVE the look of HID's, and I love how bright they are........but put yourself in oncoming traffics shoes.......it sucks!

Anything thats worth doin......is worth doin RIGHT!!
