Looking to upgrade to an 08' FX4, luxury package with just about everything in it. Dealer gave me a quote for 31K. What's the best deal anyone has gotten on these. This one is a Super Crew.

Right now I don't think I'd buy an '08 unless I got 11 - 12 large off MSRP......

 

That is what they are advertising up here, 12,700.00

I would say that 15k off is not out of the question!

 

$31k is awesome. I paid $32k out the door for my FX4 Lux in Oct 2006. Sticker price was at, or just above $44k I think



if any of you guys actually get $12K+ off the sticker, please post up your contract. I'd like to see that.

 

one of the guys here at work just payed 23,950 for a 08 FX4 supercab cloth seats but it has all the other goods! It sucks for us that payed the high prices when evryone wanted a truck but now they cant give them away! So 31 is way to high from what I am seeing here in MN!

 

i got mine for 30 out the door and it still had all the plastic on the wheel and shifter. was onlt in the lot for a day before i got it

 

I'm not saying you can't get a great deal on the 08 F-150 right now...but going in expecting $15,000 off sticker is ridiculous. I think $10k is appropriate to expect...and if you get more, then it's a bonus

can you get specific details? Like what goods?

a Cloth seat Scab FX4 retails for about $33k...add in some goodies for $2-3k...so he only got $10-12k off sticker

the FX2 is just a gussied up XLT...the FX4 Lux is a Lariat with different stickers. Price is usually significantly different.

Yes you can & FX2 is similar to a Lariat you can get the same exact options.

 

are you kidding me? can you get an XLT with a flow thru, PTM exterior? FX2 is alot different than an XLT

I got 9.5K off my 2008 XL Supercrew I just bought... I was happy with that.

 

sorry but Tylus is pretty much right. The FX2 is an "option" package associated with the XLT, meaning it's built off of the XLT platform. Read the order guide. Just like the King Ranch and Harley models are "option" packages associated with the Lariat.

So you could call it a gussied up XLT although it is like a 2wd FX4.

 

wierd...because you CANNOT get Leather in an XLT from the factory, Dealers can install though...but I guess the FX2 part bypasses the normal XLT options

The FX2 is a XLT with a FX2 appearance package...where the FX4 is an actual Trim Model. Most of the FX2's I've seen are nothing but a midline XLT with a bumper/sticker and sometimes rims. I've yet to see a loaded out FX2, that is why I asked about it.

also, I can't figure out why the FX2 is standard with a 4.6...why not the 5.4?

I just saw in the newspaper that a local dealer was advertising 2008 XLT super cabs 4x4's, tow and go package, chrome package for $11,800 off msrp. They didn't say anything about FX4's or Lariats, but I would think its atleast that much if not more off.

 

whats msrp for that truck
