I paid $1400US out the door. This includes shipping (special order), mount/balance, road hazard warranty, credit for Pirelli's, and tax.

No problem. Good luck with those tires. I really liked those tires a lot. I think my problems with the wear was caused by the Autospring and my camber being off a little.

Do you happen to know how many miles your cousin has got on his Mickey's yet?

Sorry, I don't. He's probably had them on for at least 4 years though, daily driver.

Need a little help.

Nice Truck! I am new here so please bear with me. I have a 2006 F150 4x4 screw with the 6.5 bed. When it came down to new tires I went with the Nitto Terra Grapplers and 2 in leveling kit. I noticed that there is a little less than 1/4 inch between the front tire and the control are or A arm. Is this going to be a problem? Do you have the same problem and if so, how much space between your tires and control arm?

Holy old thread batman. Might want to ask in the appropriate subforum instead of bumping a thread that's nearly year old.

Wheels, Tires & Brakes

Far as your tire issues, it's a little close for my comfort but long as it's not rubbing and you're not doing any offroading it wouldn't expect it to be a issue. Post a photo in your user gallery (use search) and post in the forum linked above.

hows wide are the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ 305/55-20? are they 12" or 12.5"..... if i have a 2" leveling kit in the front and a 3" readylift block in the back would these tires rub?

Those tires look outstanding on your truck... Larger than stock tires will cause more rolling resistance and therefore seem to lag from a start do to the extra weight and width... Solution is to re-gear for 35" tires or taller... Programers with custom tunes will not do the job... Yukon 4.56 gears will regain your power...

That's the ticket...

i have 2006 fx4 with stock 20's, a 2" leveling kit and a 3" readylift block... if i got the 305/55-20 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ would they rub, and would they also stick out past my wheel well? i like how rms8's tires look, but i don't want to spend the money and have them stick out

Can the typical tuners (Edge, Gryphon...) correct this?
I'm not up on the Edge and Gryphon, but I don't know why they wouldn't. There are several parameters that affect tire size, gear ratio and N/V (speed sensor calculation), that I know SCT programmers have access to. I think you'd see a negligable effect on gas mileage, but your truck should be back to the programmed OEM shift routines and converter lock/unlock schedules. There are other benefits from a programmer. In stock form, the OEM processor keeps the truck in closed loop too long when it otherwise should be in open loop. That alone provides a notable increase in performance.
