Is your truck really level????

Hey all, just finnished installing the bilstein 5100 ajustable shocks. Replaced all 4 shocks. Thought it would level my truck but the front is still 1/2inch lower then my back.
Was I wrong to think it should be exactly level????
I'm kinda pissed that after spending 400 my truck still not level.

Pics??
That's exactly why I want the 5100's. I want to retain a small rake for when I have a load in the back, or a trailer hooked up. 1/2 an inch is better than the 2" difference between the hub and fender lip which is how it sits now.

Where are you measuring from?

slight rake is better for weight transfer when accelerating anyway. 1/2" is nothing

Measured from center of wheel well to ground. also measured from top of tire to center of wheelwell, both measurments are 1/2inch different.
The truck handles soooooo much better.
Very happy with install, though the guy putting them in said they were a real PITA to install.
was just wondering about the 1/2 inch, seeing what other were experiencing.
Thats for input. I'll try for pics later, I dont really know how to post pics, but I'll try.

Just my opinion, but most leveled trucks I see pics of, appears to be raised too high in the front. I never really understood how you measure, so I'll just go with what Stiffhorn said here, but I still have a few questions or concerns.
  1. Do you put any weight in the box when doing the measurement?
  2. Do you put any people in the cab when measuring?
  3. Do you at least sit in the driver seat and have someone else measure?
  4. Do you measure again a year later after you've added some gear over time, and the shocks have sagged a bit?

I could be wrong, but I believe it has been stated a numerous times on these boards that the bilstein adjustable stock will not give you an exact level sit and you should be sitting 1/2 inch lower in the front.

A $70 set of rear shackles or spacers in the front would level things out.

You're worried about 1/2" of rake?
