I have Xentec (HID4U) 6000k. I have no complaints after 6 months. I did make my own harness to help with misfires, but that is no big deal.

Thumbs down

I would love to get a set of HID lights for my truck but I can't since I have day time running lights.

Oh well... I might settle for the lights that have a blue tint on the bulb, maybe they will give me some more light output....

The bulbs with a blue tint that I purchased (unknown brand) offered LESS output than my stock bulbs, and I went back to the stockers. I think the 'blue' lights are sorta gimmicky, and are a waste. White light just lights stuff up better down the road. After all, the intensity of the bulb has more to do with light output, than color does. The light output of my blue ones, reminded me of driving a truck with those black headlight covers that everyone used to run. I never understood that fad, either.

Nope it was my fault. I blew a fuse when wiring them because i didnt wire in the relay like instructed. Installed the relay and problem free.

Does HID4U respond to technical emails sent to him at 11:00pm...

Really???

Customer service is important in anything I buy. I like to know that when I have a question, there will be someone there to answer it. And it wasnt involving my truck. It was on my dads 06 megacab. The lights are computer controlled and because of the low draw the lights turn off and give a lamp out indicator. With todds help they are working wonderfully.

Thanks everyone. The fog light kit should be here tomorrow.

BTW, I ordered the Apexcone 35W/55W Full Size Ballast HID Kit. H13 55W 6000K for the headlights and H10 35W 5000K for the foglights. They said that the 55W kit has some color wash out and so a 55W 6000K set will have the same color as a 35W 5000K set.

It has color wash out because it is a 50w ballast driving 35w bulbs! Besides loss of color, they create more heat, have more glare, and have a reduced bulb lifespan.

Actually there is no color wash out. In fact I just contacted DDM about sending me some H10 35W 6000K bulbs because there is no wash out in color. The 55W bulbs do have 55W stamped on them, and the 35W bulbs do as well. So I don't know where you get your information, trailcrusher. As far as heat goes, I haven't noticed any more or less than the Piaas and stock halogens that were in there. Little bit of glare, but not bad at all. Nobody has flashed me yet. Reduced bulb lifespan, we'll have to hold out judgment. But there is a lifetime warranty.

With that we'll see if the send me replacement H10s. At that point I would be able to wholeheartedly recommend them with regards to service. At this point, I can recommend their products with confidence.
