Where to tow from?
I used a 30K lb tow strap and attach it to the receiver on the truck. I have a metal clip that attached to the strap that has close to the same strength rating. I always have the owner of the car I'm pulling out attach his end to his car. I look it over to make sure it won't fly off but if it damages their car, I don't worry too much.

haha well i just solved my own problem.. went down to the local Advance auto parts and picked up a receiver hitch... but no ball. Now I just gotta go pick up a tow strap.
Bull bars are cute to look at, but worthless when it comes time to pull out your truck from the front or during any kind of crash.
As one member suggested, get longer grade 8 bolts and some kind of washers or spacers and reinstall your factory tow hook with that bullbar.
Or ditch the store bought bull bar and weld up a front guard yourself that is frame mounted and can take some serious abuse.
Also avoid using the front to pull out someone unless you have to. These front ends are week and not designed to handle loads like that. The rear is a much better choice.

thanks guys.. I will look into the spacer issue for the front. A friend suggested that I try and fab something up... Has anyone tried to weld a bracket across the frame rails in the front and put the tow hook in the middle.. just drop it down like that spacer would.
I guess you might lose some clearence in the front maybe.. I dont know if that would effect anything else.
