Fuel addittve????
Fuel addittve????
Anyone use bg products? I was wondering the difference between the 44k and the cf5. cf5 says to us every 4000 or 5000 miles but I didn't see any recommendations for the 44k.
I just use gas with a good detergent, Shell, Chevron, Texaco, Conoco. Have not felt I needed an additive and my plugs came out just fine at 65,000 miles.

first off, ManualF150 is the last person I'd listen to. he and his truck are classic examples of what not to do.
2ndly, the owners manual specifically says not to use additives.
Just use a good brand gas and you'll be fine.

X2 on what the owners manual says. And, stay away from the snake oils that you dump into the crankcase. Use quality oil and change within specification. Clean air, clean fuel and clean oil is what your engine wants and will give you hundreds of thousands of miles service.

One of the top three fuel additives is Techron. Chevron sells gasoline with Techron already added. I'm not sure if that includes all grades, but if it does then if your running Chevron gas, then your running an additive called Techron in your gas.
We don't have Chevron stations in the midwest, and there is a bit of a clogged fuel injector problem here.

How often do you use the bg44k and do know what the difference is between that and the cf5?
