I went ahead and went with the 6 LED version and didn't order the 3. Hopefully it'll work. *shrugs* If not, I'll order the 3 later on (and pay shipping again).

Any chance that it'd burn too hot and melt some plastic? I hope not...

On the puddles, we're actually working on that over in the KR forum... there are a couple of guys that have FINALLY located the dang light module thing for the puddle lamps so, if I pop it out of there and break it, I can replace it. I wasn't going to do it until we found the PN (which was a beast to find).

Hmm... you have me a tad worried on the 912 x12 bulb now... I'll give it a go, maybe it'll work out. Who knows? It's worth a 'go'.

Ordered it last night around 11pm, got an email about 10 minutes ago telling me that it had shipped. I think I'll have a weekend project considering that they're in St. Louis!

I've had them for over a year and I havent had any issues with burning or melting.

Don't worry about the 921's. Give me a shot and keep me posted. Don't forget to let me know how it goes.

No problem. I will be placing an order this week unless you want to spend $35 more, lol. Enjoy. What did you order?

Your going to love the the license plate ones, those are my favorite of them all. I got the idea one day when I saw a 2007 Lexus GS license plate and it looked so bright and clean.

Cool but the ones that superbrightleds sell are a direct replacements like the bulbs that are already there. I've spent a few extra dollars and time trying to get this right. Im not saying what you linked is not good or not going to work but the product that I linked works for me and I've received many compliments on it.

So, how are the one's I have in my truck not a driect replacment? They are the same EXACT size as the OEM bulbs 31mm long and 6mm wide!

The only difference is the OEM bulbs are filmanent syle and the ones I bought are LED.

I've spent over $ 250 converting two trucks over to LED - this includes trying several different lamps styles & sizes from many different places. I went through a red LED set in my truck and then a white set.

I'm not saying the bulbs I linked to on Ebay might work - I have them in the truck - installed - they are a direct fit - they work - and they are very bright!

Let me clear this up. The bulbs that you have posted I dont think will be a direct replacement in my truck. My truck uses a 194 bulb, which is small and similar to the stock bulb. Hopefully I'm making sense.

Your truck uses a 194 for the vanity bulbs? Can I see a pic?

First, pop the clear cover off of the lights next to your mirrors.

If the bulbs in there look like the top bulb in my picture above, the bulb is a festoon 31mm X 6mm.

I don't see any of that exact size listed on the site you posted. But, the holders for these lamps can bend "out" a little, meaning the width might be a little more flexible.

On the web site you posted there are two that might work:
