i was cleaning my truck today and look at my rear end. the paint is coming off already. its not even a year old. im posting a picture (its not of my truck) to give you an idea where its coming off at. its right on the top center. and the paint is gone in about a 8" by 4" area roughly

they do that

the rust is 100% okay...make sure to not clean it off unless you are going to repaint and seal it (no point, but hey it's your truck). The rust is actually a protective barrier against further corrosion

ya it happens man, especially if your driving snow roads a lot. (thankfulyl something I DON'T deal with !!! )

If its bad, or buggin you, get under there (or take the rear out) sand it down, prime and paint it. There are better paints you can use that offer more protection. Ones with a more rubberized finish and what not.

it just pisses me off, my old truck (02 f150 screw) had over a 140k on it and had no paint problems anywhere. frame was still black with no rust, rear end was all black. guess ill be pulling my rear end next summer to be painted.

Take it to the dealer and see if they will do anything about it under warranty. You should have a rust/corrosion warranty.
