Ripped off

Anyone happen to know how much a new Tailgate costs?
Mine was stolen in the parking lot at my work today.

Actually I didn't notice it until I got home. There are camera's at work but doubt that would amount to anything. Don't think they are gonna catch the loser who took it.

No doubt, I usually do lock it, my son borrowed it on Sunday to go dirtbike riding and I forgot to lock the ^&%$ thing.
Going to call the Ford dealer to see what it cost for a new one tomorrow.
Only saw a white one on e-bay and it was in another state.

Try your local salvage yards. In a city as big as L.A. there is bound to be at least a half dozen useable tailgates around. Who knows you might get lucky and find a red one.

Somebody damaged theirs and was looking for a replacement or they themselves are the victims of a tailgate theft and went on a five-finger discount shopping trip to this guys workplace.

Either way and regardless of the reason this is the reason why business have insurance. Check with you employer and see if they are insured for theft and damage for employees privately own vehicles while being at work. You might be surprised what you find out.

x2

I had my back window busted out at work in an old SUV and they were responsible for up to $250 in damages for anything that happened.

give it a try and maybe you'll get lucky
