Radiator Fan Removal from the Pulley

How the hell do you remove that thing? I can't get it off the motor.

My motor is completely tore apart and the fan/pulley is the only thing left before I can re-assemble. New intake and other stuff is ready to go...just this one little stupid thing.

My tech manual shows 2 tools to remove the fan. A big wrench and a smaller wrench. The big wrench is fairly obvious where it goes. The small one has no place to go...and I'm getting pretty irritated here.

Insight would be wonderful

I'll put pics up later when I download the camera.

The big wrench slides down around the bolts that hold the clutch on behind the fan and the small one is for the cooling fan where it threads on. Can't remember if it's left hand thread or right, pretty sure it's lefty loosey. At least that's how they did them years ago. I'm shocked they still have the same mounting, must be a good one.

and now I feel stupid...thank you very much

wonder if I can fab something up to simulate the big wrench. I though the big wrench was for the extension shaft that has the wrench flats.
