I've got a stumper issue, when I turn my key to the on position in my '06 FX4 I hear a weird clicking/ticking noise that comes from under the center of the dashboard. It does this when the truck is running as well, and maintains the same random clicking ticking sounds. I can turn the radio up and drown the sound out, but I really want to know what's causing it. Any ideas?

 

Do you have auto-climate control (I'm not sure if that is available on the FX4)?

If you do have auto-climate control is this noise clicking with a faint "whirring noise" ?
