Wouldn't you put it back the opposite way it came out? Did you take the bolt out when you removed the seat?

NEW QUESTION! there has been this reallly annoying squeek comming from the back bed of my truck when im driving or its where the bed and the cab meet. does anyone know what it is or how to fix it???

That happens to me all the time and it's usually a stick from the trees or ice when the weather turns bad. I have a telescoping "long" scraper I run down behind the cab and it knocks it out most of the time. Something to check first.

it sounds more of a metal to metal squeek from the chassy or something

I also had a left rear spring shackle making noise for a while until I figured it out. Sprayed some penetrating lube in there and the noise disappeared and hasn't come back. That was about a year ago. I would hear it over bumps at low speeds coming into the driveway etc. It took a while for the fluid to work it's way in there but worked and didn't have to tear it apart and lube the bushings. You can duplicate it pushing down on the rear bumper or pulling down on the bed above the wheel well.
