when i put it in 4 Lo no light comes on and I hear no sound...?
is that normal? i would think not but i figured i'd check
if I put it in 4H then the 4X4Hi light comes on and I hear a click but i get nothing when i put it in 4Lo...whats up with that?

 

Brake on & Neutral, hold until it goes into 4 low.

You can flip the switch before or during the process.

 

Yep....gotta be stopped and in "N"

 

To engage four low:

come to a complete stop

put the truck in neutral

turn the switch to 4L

You should hear a slight "klunk" sound, and away you go
